What are we (eating)?

What you choose to put in (and on!) your body greatly influences your health and wellness, as well as the health and wellness of the earth and local economy.
It’s true that “you are what you eat”, but it’s more accurate to say, “you are what what you eat eats!” The health and integrity of the soils that grow your food (and the animals that graze on it) translates into your health.

At Box of Good we work with local growers, producers, farmers, dairies, bakers, and more to source the most local, organic, positive for you foods and products.

We offer: produce, meat & seafood, dairy, eggs, pantry staples, beverages, bread & baked goods, specialty items, cleaning products, services , and more!

You can choose between pre-set boxes and we’ll send you whatever is in season or you can fully customize your box down to the head of garlic! When you place an order we will pack your items and deliver directly to your door. You can choose to have deliveries weekly, every other week, or intermittently. Orders are also available for Stanwood pick up.

Through the farm-to-table service that we offer, much of the locally grown produce arrives at your home within days of being picked. In contrast, the organic produce available at your local grocery store has likely traveled an average 5 days to the store and then is stored and shelved for upwards of 7 days, losing as much as 90% of its nutritional content!) This minimal turnaround means the fruits and vegetables retain their overall nutritional value and are in turn more nutritious for you!

Our pasture-raised animal proteins also have added nutritional value. They have a higher Omega 3 fatty acid profile which translates to less overall inflammation in your body.
Even grass-fed dairy is healthier than conventionally raised dairy with higher quality fat and protein, and enhanced availability of naturally present vitamin D!

Organic produce is grown in healthy, vibrant soil without the added toxic chemicals to control weeds and discourage pests. Those chemicals have proven to contribute to cancers and growth defects – in us the consumer, as well as in mammals, birds, and beneficial insects alike.

We believe:
That when food is harvested when ripe and consumed when fresh, it is healing and nourishing.

That packaging, trucking, deep freezing, cold storage, and preservatives are designed for the economy, not consumption.

That protecting your health and wellness through what you consume, physically and financially, is one of the most important choices you can make.

That your neighbors can support your health and you can support their work.

That without community, we unravel.
