About K’UL Chocolate

K’UL is on the mission to change the world through chocolate by elevating women, protecting children, and fighting slave labor. We have an unwavering commitment to producing ethically sourced, direct-trade, hand crafted, small-batch bean to bar chocolate that uses only organic and Non-GMO ingredients.

We also made another bold move by featuring the women we work with on the front of our packaging. We’ve continuously received requests over the years to highlight them by sharing their story more prominently. We believe that telling the human story of chocolate is incredibly essential. There is an interconnectivity between grower, processor, manufacturer, and consumer, it’s symbiotic and critical that everyone is treated fairly and with dignity. Ultimately, we want our customers to feel confident that their purchases make a positive impact on the world we live in.

We currently source cacao and work with producers in three countries; the Dominican Republic, Peru, and our newest origin, Uganda. In addition to our partnerships in these countries, we are looking to other origins such as Ghana, Honduras, and Vietnam.

We have a facility with over 8,000 sq. ft. of organic chocolate production located in the heart of Bellingham, WA. The factory includes a full bean to bar processing line that includes roasting, winnowing, pre-refining, refining and conching. It also includes an automated molding system that can produce up to 1.25 million chocolate bars per year. in addition to production and packaging, we also offer select private label partnerships such as our partnerships with the largest independent natural grocer int he U.S., PCC Markets in Seattle.
